PRESERVE, RESTORE, CELEBRATE
UIC School of Architecture, Room 1011

As our buildings age and systems become end of useful life, we are faced with decisions of how we approach our existing architecture for new use, better performance, and restoration. Krueck Sexton Partners was tasked with these approaches for the 1960s Jefferson and Henry Hall buildings, originally designed by Walter Netsch, on UIC’s Campus. The exhibit will showcase a delicate approach to preserving concrete elements, restoring new systems, and celebrating intentional moments of the building from a new perspective.
